SEefeld FAQ
-
The Alps in February and march are generally pleasant – sunny days will usually in the 30’s, but it’s best to keep an eye on the weather as camp approaches!
-
For the intermediate camp, expect to ski about 15 kilometers (9 miles) per session. There are two sessions offered per day – morning and afternoon.
For the intermediate-advanced camp, expect to ski 15-30 kilometers per session. Sessions are more fluid for this group (but we always offer coaching). For example, some days might look more like one long session.
-
You’ll want to pack all of your normal ski gear – skis, poles, boots, and clothing.
You can leave all of your wax and prep gear at home, we’ll take care of that.
For confirmed campers, we’ll share detailed packing and gear lists.
-
We offer both a morning and an afternoon coaching session each day of camp.
Typically, we all begin together, then break into smaller groups. There will always be a coach with your group or floating between groups if there are more than 2.
The afternoon schedule is fluid. If campers want to do something besides ski (like visit Innsbruck or the spa), we’re happy to change it up!
-
We recommend flying into Innsbruck or Munich airports.
Innsbruck airport typically has more expensive flights – only about 20 minutes from camp
Munich airport typically has less expensive flights – about 2 hours from camp
Ground transportation is included in the cost from either airport.
-
All travel plans for the camp days and ground transportation to camp are taken care of by us.
For flights and other bookings besides the camp week, we don’t make reservations for you, but are happy to provide recommendations and go over them with you to ensure your trip is dialed.
-
Our ground transportation service from all airports will be the day before camp begins.
If you’re coming from the USA, remember that all flights land one day AFTER your flight departure date (because of the time change).
Example flight itinerary for the 2/22 - 2/28 camp:
✈️ 2/20: flight departs from USA, arrives in Innsbruck or Munich on 2/21, the day before camp starts
✈️ 2/29: flight departs from Innsbruck or Munich the day after camp ends
The lodging cost for the last night (2/28 or 3/8, depending on the camp) in either Innsbruck or Munich is not included.

Lots! Seefeld is lively for a small ski town; there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and activities within walking distance. Innsbruck is also a quick train ride away.
